Yogi Peace Club is dedicated to supporting and enhancing every individual's yoga journey with sustainable, reliable, and long-lasting yoga products. Emma, a passionate yoga teacher, ensures their products are environmentally friendly and high-performing. The brand’s commitment to sustainability shines through in their use of compostable packaging, recycled materials, and solar-powered facilities.

What was the driving passion behind creating Yogi Peace Club?

I created Yogi Peace Club with one intention; to design yoga products that support people on their yoga journey.

I started Yogi Peace Club in 2014 on the Surfcoast near Bells Beach Torquay Victoria.. Our team is entirely women, and is dedicated to designing yoga products that are sustainable, reliable for every yoga session and crafted to last.

As a yoga teacher myself, I'm deeply involved in the process. I enjoy sharing, practising, and testing our products with other yoga teachers and students. This hands-on approach ensures that all of our products are environmentally sustainable and perform well both at home or in the studio.

My driving passion behind the brand comes from my love of yoga. As I get older my practice has become more important to me, and I hope with the creation of my yoga products it will inspire others to try yoga.

What does sustainability mean to you and your business?

We prioritise sustainability in every aspect of our business and production of our products.

In 2023 we were awarded Gold for Best yoga mat in the Clean and Conscious Awards for Australia and New Zealand. There were many criteria that we had to meet to win this prestigious Australian Award.

We carefully select materials that are least harmful to the planet and we aim to minimize our environmental footprint while delivering top-quality, high-performance products built to endure.

Since 2016, we've proudly partnered with Carbon Positive Charitable Fund, a non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring Australian land and revitalizing natural ecosystems through native tree planting initiatives.

Yogi Peace Club has proudly collaborated with Fashion Revolution since 2016, advocating for transparency in the fashion industry. Our partnership extends to ethically accredited factories across India, China, Thailand, and Australia.

We ship our products using compostable packaging and print swing tags on recycled materials. Our stationery is crafted from recycled paper. We're committed to minimizing waste, collaborating with suppliers to reduce excess packaging and plastics wherever possible.

Our office and warehouse are powered by solar energy, reducing our carbon footprint. Every order is meticulously handled by our team of passionate women at our Bells Beach office, who share a deep commitment to both the environment and yoga.

What does your morning look like?

Wake up around 6:30 am get kids ready for school, and then three mornings a week I teach an early yoga class at RACV Resort in Torquay. I try to practise a short flow before commencing and teaching the yoga class. Back home, then work commences at 9:30 with the YPC team.

In terms of food I fast in the morning - so just a herbal tea until 1 pm then its a salad and chai for lunch.

Currently Listening to?

My yoga playlists are everything to me. I spend so much time curating them. So many students have asked for my playlists so I set up a Spotify account for Yogi Peace Club so people could download them.

I love DJ Taz Rashid, his music is amazing for yoga classes.

When all else fails

.never give up. Such a cliche but it's so important to learn from your failings, as this is part of your growth and journey.

Your go-to recipe?

In summer I make an Iced Chai Latte:

Ice, 2 cups water, 4 cardamon seeds, 10 almonds, 2 dates, half a teaspoon of fennel seeds + cinnamon and blend together. It makes the most delicious hydrating iced chai.

Daily ritual you swear by to maintain physical and emotional wellbeing?

Yoga and connecting to breath. Even if its just half an hour a day and its a home practice. Stepping on my yoga mat is critical to my body and mind functioning in the way it needs too. I like to invert most days too - headstand, half hand stand or dolphin pose. It helps me to focus and I feel it resets my mind and emotional body.

I also love dry body brushing before I shower and then use an almond body oil after showering.

Podcast recommendation please (one can never have enough..)

I religiously listen to Jason Crandell from Yoga Land - I never miss an episode and I also love his You Tube channel. I am also a fan of Goop! Love a bit of Gweneth!

Why did you decide to partner with WFG?

Personally, I have made many purchases from WFG, and what I love best is knowing it will all be donated to their chosen charity. I admire the work that the WFG does to create this wonderful offering to a charity. I am so grateful to be selected as a partner to work with WFG and donate some of our products
